Cores Management saw a unique opportunity to expand its real estate portfolio in the multifamily investment space following the Great Recession, when property values had plummeted and there was a handsome supply of unrenovated properties for sale. By focusing on acquiring boutique apartment buildings in the densely-populated, high-end neighborhoods of Southern California, our firm executed a value-add investment strategy. In 2015, our company expanded its investment horizon to seek out larger assets in core and secondary markets throughout the United States that were poised to benefit from growing demand and increasing rents in major cities. The firm has continued to generate strong returns by acquiring fully-amenitized apartment communities that provide residents with spacious floor plans, luxury interior finishes and close proximity to major employment centers.
